Mystic

 Top: Urban Outfitters
Belt: Vendor Sample
Shorts: Forever 21
Jacket: Andrew Marc
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Shoes: Vivienne Westwood

Yes, I wore shorts in the fog, but in my defense, I knew I was going to be visiting the Peninsula and knew I had to dress appropriately for the 10+ degree temperature change. Upon returning back to the city, us girls wanted to hang out. In my mad dash to get out of the house, I simply grabbed my scarf and anorak and away I went. It wasn't that unbearably cold, but it was definitely misty. Not so great for the hair. Hope you all had a good weekend.

White + Blue

Tank: Vendor Sample
Jacket + Belt: Zara
Jeans: Levi's
Shoes: Elizabeth and James
Earrings: Heritage Row

I've had this jacket for so many years, and it's definitely one of my favorites. The pictures simply don't do it justice. I love the broad, exaggerated collar, and the slightly puffy sleeves with slit detailing on the sides. I departed from my go-to Nordstrom studs, and went with my electric blue earrings from Heritage Row. I'm always so hesitant on dangly earrings since I've cut my hair short, but I had to buy these when I saw them on display. They look even more incredible in the sunlight, and it seems to change colors depending on movement. I am off to Vegas (I know, again) for the Magic Tradeshow on Sunday. It'll be a schmattering of vendor parties, business dinners, and Levi's talk all week. Hope you all enjoy your weekend!

Pow

As much as I wanted to wear boots today, I decided to rotate my shoes and wear my fuchsia heels paired with a yellow striped top. I now remember why I wore these shoes only once before--they hurt. Lesson learned: don't buy cheap shoes. You totally get what you pay for. They're already too stretched out and I now need to find inserts to make it work, since I plan on wearing it with a black dress to a wedding in September. I dug up my Claudia Gill necklace I haven't worn in quite some time and I've deemed it my new favorite go-to. I love the delicate chains and how it's connected to one small circle. In love.

Concrete

I whipped out this Ella Moss dress that I've had for years, (but had only worn maybe a handful of times) paired it with an old denim jacket and off to work I went. I was in a rush, which is very typical, and didn't accessorize as much as I would have liked. Nonetheless, I always feel good knowing that every piece of clothing is getting some love. Variety is good.

Winterfresh

Minty Fresh

I'm usually not very adventurous when it comes to nail color; I usually stick to grays, reds, and the occasional pinks and corals. A trip to Target and a stop at the Essie nail polish display had me picking up "Turquoise and Caicos" this past weekend. This is definitely a new favorite and got me thinking about how much I have been craving turquoise, mint, and light greens. I recently wore a draped knit jersey Alice and Olivia dress in green and I received so many compliments on its bright hue. Green, along with coral/orange, has been my new favorite color of the season. I will definitely be incorporating more color into my drab gray, black, and cream wardrobe.

Sherbet

Top + Jewelry: Forever 21
Skirt: Zara

Hope you all had a great weekend! I decided to dress it up and exit out of my comfort zone of jeans and loose tees. I have been trying to hunt down this fuschia pencil skirt from various Zara stores, and I finally scored it from their downtown San Francisco location. I wanted to pair it with a deep royal purple top, for some extra color, and this one from Forever 21 sufficed. I love me some colorblocking! When I tried on the skirt month ago, it fit like a glove, and now, sadly, it's not as form fitting as I would like--it's now a bit too loose. I "blame" it on my intense marathon training the last few weeks before my race. It's kind of a catch 22--we as girls, want to lose weight, but when we can't fit into our favorite pieces, whether it be loose or tight, we're disappointed. The best part of this whole outfit was a complete stranger came up to me and informed that I had a quarter sized hole in the back seam of my skirt. The lining was nude colored, which didn't help, and I'm almost positive people thought they were looking at my butt. Joy. I was wholly embarrassed, and will be taking it to the tailor immediately after this post. Nonetheless, I still love this skirt.  Note to self: I thought I lost weight?? And yes, I realized I wore the wrong bra with this top.

Showcase

My grandmother is an avid Louis Vuitton collector, and when she passed this mini trunk to me, I was honored. I still haven't figured out where to put it in my little room, but for now, it will sit on a shelf until I find a proper home for it. I was thinking of housing extra jewelry or even makeup, since I believe it was originally a makeup carrier. The best part? My grandmother's initials are on the tag of the additional piece to the trunk, making it even more special. Nonetheless, it's a beautiful piece that is a great addition to my collection that I will enjoy for many years to come.

Laced Edges

I pulled out this taupe laced edge top and paired it with my Levi's searsucker pants, which was perfect for this rather oh-so-rare sunny day. The beauty about cleaning your closet and drawers is reminding yourself about clothes that you forgot you had--and those jeans were a perfect example of just that! Excuse the cropped face pictures; it was fairly windy and my hair looked like a hot mess. We can just focus on the outfit for today's post!

Knit

Top: New York and Company
Jeans: Levi's-Curve ID: Bold
Shoes: Steve Madden
Jewelry: Stelios, BCBG, Heritage Row, Banana Republic, H&M

Good news! My friend has an amazing camera, and she has offered to bring her camera every so often so we can do some photo ops. All is not lost!

My mom knows my love for dolman sleeved tops, and she picked up this light sweater-esque top for me from New York and Company over the weekend. It's definitely comfortable and loose, the perfect combination. It's a bit of a hassle to wear though, since there is a plunging neckline. I find myself constantly pulling it back for fear of bearing a little too much; nevertheless, I will be donning this into the Fall.

Closet Freak

With my newfound love for decorating and having the urge to redecorate my room here, it was only fitting that I tackled my closet and drawers over the weekend. Not only did I make so much more room for my clothes, but I also packed up a boxful of shoes, and five paperbags worth of clothing that I haven't worn in the last 9 months, or completely forgot that I owned. Now, I need to find some extra shelf to display all my lovely handbags that I just acquired. The mix includes vintage Louis Vuitton from my mother--2 cross body bags, a trunk, and a duffle bag--and some Dior and Prada. Right now, they're tucked away in a bin under my bed waiting to be showcased. The hunt continues...meanwhile, below are some oh-so-amazing closets that I am currently craving.

Sadly, I do not have pictures because I broke my camera (pathetic, I know), and have sent it to the repair shop. Needless to say, there might be some grainy cell phone pictures on this blog in the coming month

Glitter Style: Napa

wine tasting

I was catching up on all my blogs this morning, and saw posts from Alicia, Meghan, and The Glitter Guide on ways to incorporate some glitter into your style. We took a rather impromptu trip to Napa the other day (a much needed reward after we completed our first half marathon!) and I while dressing myself, I realized I was gravitating towards my sparkly J.Crew tank seen here and pairing it with my black faux suede shorts. I know Napa is usually about cutesy dresses and floral patterns, but why not? With my BCBG ghost ring, red Marc by Marc Jacobs bag, and blinged out Michael Kors watch, I was set to hit up 4 wineries in glittery style.
