Summer Fun

Although June/July is considered summer time, here in San Francisco, they are our gloomiest months. The weather hasn't been too bad, but it still isn't warm enough to be donning summer dresses. I oftentimes find myself wearing a dress to work, freezing, but I love them so much that I am willing to make that sacrifice. I decided to do a summer dresses set in ode to warm weather, and to add an extra bonus, found some cute options for under $100. Score.

I find myself trolling the boards for hours and pinning everything from fashion to home decor and event planning to my page. When I saw that my favorite bloggers were sporting peplum, I knew I had to create a set on polyvore. I almost tried on a bright orange peplum dress at Zara a few months back, but was too intimidated to conquer the dressing room line. I think the trend is so feminine and flirty, but am a little apprehensive on how it will look on my figure. Nevertheless, it's a really cute shape, that adds a little detail to an otherwise plain silhouette. Will you be wearing peplum?

I was on vacation in Colorado and didn't have an access to a computer until I returned. There weren't many outfit posts I could have done, considering I was in shorts and a tee for the entire trip (with my hair tied back, mind you), but I did take lots of beautiful scenic shots. Although it was nice to be unplugged for a while and to not care as to what outfit I would be wearing on a daily basis, I am glad to be back in my heels. On our way back to the airport we stopped by a J.Crew where I went a little crazy over their additional 30% off sale. There is never a time I come out of a J.Crew empty handed. Skulls

I purged my entire closet recently and took a trip to Crossroads where I sold six bags worth of clothing. While there, I witnessed a lady trying to sell her Alexander McQueen scarf that I had been craving, and telling the sales associate that scarves "aren't her thing." I thought she was absolutely crazy and wanted to interrupt and say "I'll buy it for $60!" considering she was practically giving it away! They ended up pricing it at $125, and although that was an absolute steal, I had to keep my priorities straight. Two weeks later, and I'm kicking myself for not buying it. Now all I can think about are skulls. For now, I'll just make a polyvore set out of it!
