Flower Bomb

Dress: Old Navy/ Shoes: Nordstrom/ Necklace: Jigsaw/ Bracelets: J.Crew

I was window shopping after my haircut and found the amazing necklace above. It was just so unbelievably huge I couldn't resist--what a statement piece! I immediately went into the store, tried it on for a split second, and out came my credit card. A few people have told me it looks like a lei, but regardless what it looks like, this is my new favorite necklace for Spring.

Printed

Dress: Gifted/ Shoes: DV Dolce Vita/ Necklace: From Hawaii/ Bracelets: J.Crew/ Watch: Michael Kors

My apologies for the lack of posts last week, as I had to adjust back to life after my vacation. It was fairly chilly, but clearly I was still in a Hawaiian mindset by how I dressed this past weekend. My aunt gave me this maxi dress from Indonesia, and the best part of it (aside from the awesome print) is that there is no need to hem it! This is a very big deal for someone of my stature.

Over the weekend, I had three great meals in the City (Park Tavern, The House, and Frances), caught up on some tv, got a haircut, did some shopping, and resumed my boxing routine. Now, back to the daily grind!

Code Blue

Tee Shirt: Target/ Scarf: Levi's Sample/ Shorts: J.Crew/ Belt: Levi's Sample/ Clutch: Marc by Marc Jacobs/ Shoes: Nordstrom/ Watch: Michael Kors/ Ring: Forever 21/ Bracelets: Forever 21, Heritage Row

I had this idea of a "blue story" but in my anxious state of mind to go out and enjoy the sunshine, I forgot my Levi's denim jacket. Darn. I probably wouldn't have wanted to put it on anyways, seeing as we had 70 degree weather. I'm off to Hawaii in 9 days, and purchased these colored shorts from J.Crew above. I love the periwinkle color, and it's a nice departure from my typical denim ones I usually wear. Oh, and my Nordstrom wedges have made a comeback. I was so glad to brush the dust off these guys and wear them while running errands. I can't wait to wear these everyday. Spring is just around the corner!

Night/Day

Night Look (left): Dress converted into top: Alice + Olivia/ Sequined Skirt: Forever 21/ Shoes: Gucci/ Clutch: Marc by Marc Jacobs/ Necklace: Forever 21

Day Look (right): Dress converted into top: Alice + Olivia/ Belt: Levi's/ Jeans: Levi's/ Shoes: Elizabeth and James/ Necklace: Forever 21/ Clutch: Tory Burch

I found this Alice + Olivia jersey dress on Gilt last year and every time I go to Vegas (which was 5 times last year) I always find an excuse to wear it. Since Spring is just around the corner, I wanted to showcase the pop color of green, but didn't quite want to wear the dress version as it is a bit too scandalous for San Francisco. I decided to do a night vs. day look and realized I could tuck in the dress into skirts and jeans for more versatility.

La Playa

I'm back! I had an amazing time in Mexico and upon returning, I have now gotten sick. I think I need a vacation from my vacation. Nevertheless, we spent one week eating, snorkeling, and just relaxing by the beach. I pulled out this black romper from the very back of my dresser when I was packing for Mexico and realized I hadn't worn it in over two years. It's hard to see, but I love the ruffled collar and the three simple buttons. It finally made its debut when I wore it out to dinner. I love simplicity sometimes.

Pictures from my trip will be posted tomorrow, and special thanks to my guest blogger, Ashleigh, who did a great job!

Pow

As much as I wanted to wear boots today, I decided to rotate my shoes and wear my fuchsia heels paired with a yellow striped top. I now remember why I wore these shoes only once before--they hurt. Lesson learned: don't buy cheap shoes. You totally get what you pay for. They're already too stretched out and I now need to find inserts to make it work, since I plan on wearing it with a black dress to a wedding in September. I dug up my Claudia Gill necklace I haven't worn in quite some time and I've deemed it my new favorite go-to. I love the delicate chains and how it's connected to one small circle. In love.
