Double Take

I realized that I've worn a gray top and green bottoms two days in a row. Although my outfits are oddly similar, I decided to dress it up with my silver fringe necklace and add that extra pop color with my cranberry colored suede Dolce Vitas. These are like heaven on my feet. Just like my DV by Dolce Vitas here, I knew I had to get the taller version when I saw these online. I highly recommend both styles. They are simply amazing. These were taken at Mama's Fish House in Maui, where we decided to splurge on a lunch. It was probably one of my better dining experiences. How could you not love that view while eating some of the freshest fish there is? We are now in Kauai, where all we do is eat, lay in the sun, and go to bed by 9pm. Oh, the life!

As you are reading this, I am on my way to Hawaii. With my busy work schedule, I'm looking forward to having time for my personal life without constantly thinking about the next thing I have to do. The typical brunch agenda usually involves trying something new. After having an amazing meal at Leopold's for dinner, we decided to try out their brunch as well. I made the mistake of wearing heels in Russian Hill. Needless to say, it was a very slow descent down the hill. We went shopping afterwards and  I found a 30% off sale at Gap. I am on a huge neon kick and have been wearing loud, bold colors lately. Stay tuned for some weekend snapshots. Have a lovely Monday!

The last time I ever wore this top was here, seriously. It was just one of those pieces where I hung it up in my closet and simply forgot about it. I was furiously searching for a tank top to wear underneath and in my mad dash to get to work this morning, I went without. It's a little risque for work, but I threw on my oatmeal colored cardigan to balance it out, and my skinny red belt for added pop color.

Quick Thursday post! I have just been on a pink high lately. and wore this neon tee with my white neppy blazer and seersucker pants to work the other day. Excuse the background, as I only had time to take it at work, right before my day started.

I am still on my Valentine's Day high, and decided to go with a dusty pink lightweight sweater with crochet sleeve detailing. Since the top is slightly long, I loosely tucked it into my boyfriend jeans so I wouldn't look too baggy. To add some extra femininity, I put on my buttery leather DV Dolce Vita sandals. Hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day!

Burnt Pink

I decided to wear this sweater again (previously seen here), but this time, sported it with my bright blue shoes. I just love the color combination and the relaxed feel of the rolled skinny jeans, even though my boyfriend commented that my sweater was reminiscent of this. Regardless, I love the basic stripe of the sweater paired with the fact that the color isn't super conventional. I would like to think it's a bit more fashionable than Freddy's attire--and a lot less scary.

It was such a lovely day in the city that I dressed like it was summertime. I have been craving animal print tops, and when I saw these dinosaurs on this flowy blouse, I knew I had to have it. I paired it with my geometric-esque necklace and I was off to the grocery store to buy ingredients for my appetizers for the Superbowl party that I attended yesterday. I finally jumped on the polka dot trend and picked up this sheer blouse from Old Navy this past weekend. I love the detailing of this top--the smocked neckline and the ruffles down the front are simple yet it still maintains that flair of chic. I can only imagine pairing it with a sequined skirt to add that extra sparkle for a weekend dinner. Happy Friday to all!

One of my besties visited me from San Diego and we had the greatest weekend--we explored various neighborhoods and definitely overate, but it was well worth it. On Sunday, we ate at Farmer Brown in the Tenderloin. The bacon, biscuits, fresh yogurt, and the fried chicken were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it. The atmosphere is definitely more hipster, but I didn't have a problem with my preppy Sunday attire, offset with my tribal-esque geometric necklace that I can't stop wearing.

There is no rhyme or reason as to how I pick my outfits in the morning. Sometimes I just put something on and if I look in the mirror and think "Yup, this is it," then it's decided. I generally like to believe if you feel good in what you're wearing, then other people's opinions don't really matter. I don't know why I put this little number together, but I guess I was in a menswear inspired mood. I decided to add my fringe necklace underneath my collar for that extra flair of femininity.
