Think Pink

Reading fashion blogs on a daily basis gives me inspiration on how to style my limited wardrobe. I was perusing through What I Wore and saw her color blocking post. I love bright bold hues, but always find myself wearing my safe staple colors of black and gray. I guess it's pretty safe to say that I have this fear of mixing too many colors at once and looking like a walking disaster. I have these pair of pepto bismol pink jeans from Gap that I purchased two years ago, but have only worn it once. To be honest, I lacked the confidence to rock these awesome jeans as they were completely out of my comfort zone. However, after seeing how her outfit was styled above, it's given me renewed inspiration. You can bet that I will be donning my pink jeans in the coming months. Below are a few ways I would style it.

Battle of the Dolce Vitas: Pela vs. Pali

I was shopping for birthday gifts at Nordstrom when I came across the Dolce Vita shoes that I have been vying for a year. Just for kicks, I decided to check out the price tag and my mouth dropped: only $88.95?! Is this for real?! I saw that DV by Dolce Vita made its own version of the Pela shoe ($159) called the Pali, and it's practically identical. The only difference to me is the wedge height. I am willing to make that sacrifice for that price! Needless to say, I will be making a pit stop at Nordstrom this weekend to purchase these!

Scarves and Stripes

My friend and I were lounging around my apartment and decided to play photographer. We mainly tried to get these artsy-fartsy blurry effect shots, but that was a no-go. Needless to say, I still have to figure out all the features my camera has to offer, but this will do for now. Below is the outfit I wore to work, and I wished I switched to a lightweight scarf. I overestimated the nice, warm weather-so I switched to my favorite Levi's scarf below for some picture options. I love the light pink and blue weaving, and those tassels make it that much more interesting.
