Merci

I have wanted to make my own personal cards ever since I saw this post by Emily. I stopped at the Paper Source in my neighborhood and was overwhelmed by the sky high shelves filled with an array of cards. I only had a half hour left in meter, and had to rush to get the supplies that I needed. I wanted to create some simple thank you cards that catered to my taste. I quickly browsed the selection and left the store with these beautiful aubergine colored note cards and envelopes. I also found some monogrammed note cards and couldn't resist picking them up as well. Needless to say, I'll be making my way back to Paper Source soon!

DIY: Rhinestone

I've been inspired by DIY blogs such as Stripes and Sequins, and when I found this project from Krystal, I knew it was simple enough that I had to try it. I'm not super crafty, but I figured it was foolproof enough. I picked this necklace up from Forever 21, bought some cheap, fun nail polish colors from Walgreens, and painted away!

DIY Project: Two is Always Better Than One

I have so many blogs to read everyday, and I admit that this past month has been so busy, that I have fallen behind-ridiculously behind. So I rely on my friends to give me the heads up on cool things that they read and to update me from time to time. My friend was reading Glamour.com and came across this GENIUS idea...and I mean genius....I'm banging my head against the wall and thinking "why didn't I think of that?"

The idea? Layering tights. I mean, we layer our tops, so why not our legs? Fishnets are simply bare for me, and they do not warm me up at all, so simply wear colored tights and layer patterned fishnets over them and voila! Instant glamour.

DIY Project: Pearls and Chains

Sorry I've been MIA for a while...my computer decided to crash Thursday night and I was unable to turn it back on. After taking it to the Geek Squad, they said I could send it to Dell and get it repaired for a minimum of $200. I decided I might as well get a new computer and I hope that this one lasts longer. In the 4 days that I have been computer-less, I was bored and decided to play around with my jewelry.

I recently purchased this multi-layered chain necklace from Forever 21 for $5.80. I wanted to jazz it up a bit and found a long strand of faux pearls hidden in my drawer. I twisted them together, trying to get them as tangled as possible. For effect, I found a few brooches lying around and pinned the necklaces together. I like the pearls mixed in with the chains, giving it a hard, yet subtle feminine look.
