Living in a Dream

Demi rocking the 12 inch Alexander McQueen heels
Did anyone catch the Season 3 premiere of The Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo? It was amazing as usual. I died when they covered the April 2010 Harper's Bazaar cover featuring Demi Moore. When I received that magazine in the mail, I thought the cover and the featured spread was beautifully done, with a mix of playful yet iconic. Here are the shots from the April issue:

If the Shoe Fits...

I usually don't pay for anything full price because I simply know it will always go on sale. I have been eying these 4 inch Elizabeth and James cut out woven ankle boots for months and when I saw them featured on the discount online retailer Hautelook, I absolutely had to have them. Not only were they so cute, but they were deeply discounted--from $$454 to $180. Score!

When I originally tried to place these shoes into my shopping cart, they were on hold--which I'm sure a lot of you have had the same frustrating experience. Do you wait, shop around, and hope that they magically become available?! My adrenaline started to kick in and I spent the next half hour frantically, yet strategically (a little trick/secret that I picked up), trying to place those size 6's into my cart, and was ultimately successful. I received them yesterday and immediately switched out my shoes and wore them around the office. They were pretty comfortable; however, I felt a little blister forming. I applied my vaseline secret and the crisis was averted. These shoes are finally mine!

a tad blurry but there will be outfit posts soon

I Got the Blues

Dress: Forever 21 (for only $10.80!)
Leather Jacket: Nordstrom
Necklace: Claudia Gill
Watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Shoes: Stuart Weitzman

I attended a San Francisco Style and Beauty event, which was hosted by Shop It To Me (in which I am a trendsetter for their website!), Benefit Cosmetics, and Meghan Donovan of  Wit and Whimsy. I met many great San Francisco based bloggers and writers and chatted about the best things: fashion and style! I had a great time and the gifts from Benefits Cosmetics added icing to the evening.

I wore a cobalt blue scoop neck, dolman sleeved dress with my gray suede Stuart Weitzman shoes and leather jacket. The dress was only $10.80 and you can wear it in so many different ways--versatility is key! I've worn it with a belt to give it more structure or nix the belt and have one sleeve fall down my shoulder. I added a subtle gold multi-layered necklace by Claudia Gill. It's so lightweight and simple, but it really adds that perfect touch.

Happy Friday and Have a Great Weekend, Everyone! xoxo
