Outfit Post: American Woman

Greetings! I just came back from Washington D.C. to celebrate my brother's graduation from Georgetown University (photo montage will follow tomorrow) and the weather was absolutely perfect. I was ecstatic that I was able to wear shorts and a thin top and the plus side was that I wasn't begging for a jacket, either! I landed Friday morning and immediately walked around to soak in what D.C. had to offer. Here are some snapshots below:

Fillmore

It was yet again, another rainy, cold day in San Francisco and it got me wondering, "Will this rain ever stop!?" Nevertheless, I can't complain when I have an excuse to wear my Hunter boots. They are so comfortable and it gives me a nice break from heels. I went to dinner on Fillmore Street last night in Pacific Heights. I had some time beforehand, and we did a quick outfit post courtesy of my friend's boyfriend, who is a very patient photographer.  Nothing beats good food and good company--it definitely makes the work week go by faster. Happy Hump Day!

All that Glitters

Boyfriend Blazer: Target
Bracelet: Banana Republic
Tank, Skirt, Necklace: Forever 21
Shoes: Stuart Weitzman

I've wanted a sequined skirt for ages now, and this past weekend, I found the perfect black one for only $15 from Forever 21. Score. I'm the type of person that needs to wear all the clothes that I buy within the week, so I knew Thanksgiving dinner was the occasion for the skirt to make its debut. I decided on a monochromatic approach and let the sequins do the talking. The only downside was stuffing myself with turkey, mashed potatoes, ham, and pumpkin pie whilst wearing this outfit. Not the most comfortable experience, but we all have to make our sacrifices. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

In Combat

I love the olive green military jackets that I've been seeing everywhere. I scored one from my magical Levi's sample closet and have been wearing it with anything and everything. I am also currently obsessing over stripes. All I wear are stripes and I can't get enough. A simple striped shirt with the jacket, cuffed sleeves, a huge statement necklace, ultra skinnies with chunky boots and you're ready to combat the world.
