Wedding Option #4: Watercolors

I can't believe how fast this year has gone. It was just four months ago when I had four weddings to attend and was blogging about so many dress options. As I look back on previous posts, I am pleasantly surprised that I stuck to my options that I styled on Polyvore. I wore this number to a friend's wedding in June, and I wore this (with some details adjusted) to the latest wedding in Vermont.

I also remember writing about how I will be wearing this to a wedding in wine country. However, I have changed my mind. I love the dress; it fits perfectly, but it doesn't give it the "wow" factor that I'm searching for. Instead, I'll be donning this at the Welcome Dinner the night before, and will be wearing the outfit below for the big day instead. I am so in love with this Alice and Olivia dress. It reminds me of waterfalls. It's different, yet not overbearing. It's funny how I coveted the dress back in May, but it was simply too expensive for me to purchase. Fastforward three months later, and it's at my doorstep. Needless to say, if you keep coming back to a dress, regardless of the price, you will always find justifications to purchase it.

Gardening

This past weekend was super busy, and after all that driving up and down the Peninsula, it has finally died down. On Saturday, we attended my friend's wedding in Walnut Creek at Heather Farm's Park, and it was the perfect day. The weather was amazing, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. I wore a light pink, one shoulder dress with sky high (5 inches to be exact) nude patent leather pumps. Not the most comfortable shoes, but sometimes you need to make sacrifices! Congratulations to the newlyweds-Jessica and Chad!

Options Part 3

I bought this dress from JCrew.com and although the color of the dress isn't as electric as it appears online (it's actually more of a bit muted teal), I think I'm going to keep it. I love the strapless, sweetheart neckline and the simple structure of the dress. Since this is an outdoor wedding on the East Coast in August, I think the dress will be perfect for the late summer season. Now, all I need are the right accessories to go with it, and I'll be set. Below is how I would style this number:

Options Part 2

I just realized that I will be quite the jet-setter in the next four weeks. Next weekend I will be in Washington DC followed by Las Vegas, a last minute trip to Hawaii, and finally a quick weekend in LA. I anticipate being pretty tan by my friend's wedding in mid-June, so when I found this light pink dress on asos.com, I knew it would be the perfect hue on me. It's fairly short, so I need to make sure that my legs are in tip top shape before I wear it with my 4-inch nude Dolce Vita heels. Just as the last wedding dress post here, I haven't quite decided on the accessories, but I think turquoise accents would be appropriate for a morning summer wedding in the park. 2 wedding dresses down, 2 more to go. Stay tuned!

Options

As stated on Wednesday's post, I have four weddings to go to and have only nailed down a few outfits. Here is one of the outfits I plan on wearing. I purchased this black dress from Asos a while back and it fits my body perfectly. I am a huge fan of the one shoulder dress, and I think it flatters me the most. The draping on the sides gives it a modern twist, making it a little different from just a plain black shift dress. I recently purchased these fuschia suede pumps to add that extra pop of color. They're only $50 (score!) but let's hope my feet don't fall off from the pain. As for jewelry and accessories, I'm undecided, but I know for sure that I will be donning gold.

Tying the Knot

I'm going to four weddings this year, and I'm starting to stress out about my attire. I pretty much have three outfits picked out, but I keep changing my mind. I hate deciding what to wear this early on, considering I get in "outfit moods" all the time. The first wedding I plan on wearing a deep rich jeweled tone purple, while the second wedding, I'll be donning light pink. The fourth wedding will be a grecian black one shoulder dress (yes, you can wear black to wedding) with fuschia suede pumps that I just ordered today. I'm still deciding on what to wear to the third wedding, which is located in Vermont. I keep debating between orange (of course the dress I've been eyeing is Bottega Veneta-totally out of my budget) and this colorblock number from Diane Von Furstenberg below. Needless to say, I know I'll find something, but the hunt continues!
