Code Blue

Tee Shirt: Target/ Scarf: Levi's Sample/ Shorts: J.Crew/ Belt: Levi's Sample/ Clutch: Marc by Marc Jacobs/ Shoes: Nordstrom/ Watch: Michael Kors/ Ring: Forever 21/ Bracelets: Forever 21, Heritage Row

I had this idea of a "blue story" but in my anxious state of mind to go out and enjoy the sunshine, I forgot my Levi's denim jacket. Darn. I probably wouldn't have wanted to put it on anyways, seeing as we had 70 degree weather. I'm off to Hawaii in 9 days, and purchased these colored shorts from J.Crew above. I love the periwinkle color, and it's a nice departure from my typical denim ones I usually wear. Oh, and my Nordstrom wedges have made a comeback. I was so glad to brush the dust off these guys and wear them while running errands. I can't wait to wear these everyday. Spring is just around the corner!

Crewcuts

Crewcuts Girls

Boys will be Boys

It's not a secret that I am absolutely in love with J.Crew. When I went to their store over the weekend, I was quickly drawn to their kids clothing line, Crewcuts. Designer Jenny Cooper sure knows how to dress kids, making them fashionable just like their adult counterparts. Long gone are the boring onesies and over-sized cartoon apparel. These kids are definitely strutting to school in style. I was perusing online and decided to style three looks for girls and boys; I definitely enjoyed putting these looks together and can't help but wish I was a kid's stylist. Everything is just so much more adorable when it's miniature!

Sweat

I was perusing J.Crew and picked up a hot pink fashion sweatshirt the other day (see yesterday's outfit post). I realized that I have quite a few sweatshirts and wondered, is the laid back, sweatshirt look back? I remembered blogging about it back in 2009 here and decided to revisit the trend. It's a little funny how two years ago I would have checked that trend at the door, but now I am reconsidering my opinion. I kinda like the idea that you can look stylish and feel comfortable at the same time.

Weekend Edition: Boyfriend

Nothing says a "lazy Sunday" more than dressing in boyfriend jeans, a slouchy sweater, and comfy wedges. Hope you all had a good weekend, and happy Monday!

Black Betty

Something about a gingham pattern makes an outfit so polished and refined. I purchased this top from J.Crew and loved it so much that I bought the same exact one in orange. I wanted to pair it with a necklace, and decided to button it all the way up to add that extra preppy style. I threw on these tweed shorts to give it a Fall feeling, and since I wasn't too keen on a dark ensemble, the blue pumps had to be worn.

Pleats

The chambray shirt made an appearance, yet again, and this time, I decided to pair it with my coral pleated skirt. I used to be anti-pleats, but since I found a length that suited me and it was in my favorite color, there was no question that it would be the latest addition to my closet.

Vibrant Chills

I digged through my drawers and found this whimsical top I hadn't worn in a while. Don't know what brought me to pair it with my searsucker Levi's, but I thought it would work in a funky way. I anticipated the chilly weather and threw on a gray cardigan to take the outfit down a notch and create a more relaxed vibe.
