Milan Fashion Week Fall 2009: Gucci
Gucci designer Frida Giannini's fall collection screamed rocker chic as the runway was filled with black leather leggings, thigh high boots, and dark shimmery tops. There were some dresses that had pops of bright turquoise and red, but they still stuck with the theme. She even enlightened the runway with some 1960s-esque suits paired with stripe, polka dots and checker patterned tops. A popular trend that I have noticed on the New York runways were belts, and the Gucci show was no exception. Giannini accentuated the waist with thick, black patent leather belts and incorporated skinny black belts with pants. Although it wasn't my personal style, I thought the Gucci show rocked!
