Double Dutch

I've worn both of these necklaces separately here and here, but never as a combination. I thought it would be a bit much for my outfit, but wearing just a plain old striped shirt that I've had forever required that something extra. This weekend will be quite packed with a friend's daughter's birthday party, followed by my half marathon the next day. I've been training for this for so long, and hope that everything goes well. Wish me luck!

Perbacco

I went to dinner with a couple of girlfriends at Perbacco in the Financial District and I was quite pleased. As usual, we always over order in attempts to try to taste as much as we can! We first started off with a refreshing peach salad paired with sweet bellini's, and took on the heavier dishes with risotto, pork shoulder, brussel sprouts, and short ribs. To top off the meal, we ended with a warm almond cake--it was the perfect date night!

A Lacey Affair

It's funny how you look back and think about the things you vowed you would never wear. I remember I saw my mother's wedding dress, and it was so lacey, that I promised myself I would never look like a flouncy pastry. Well, things have changed, and here I am donning a precious top I picked up at Forever 21. I had no clue how to wear it, and decided the safe option of a white tank. This lace top is something that will be a staple in my wardrobe for seasons to come.

Shop It To Me + What I Wore

I attended the Shop it To Me event at Azalea Boutique in Hayes Valley last night, to celebrate Jessica Quirk's new book What I Wore. Although I didn't personally get to meet Jessica, I did, however, get to finally meet some of my favorite bloggers. I recently discovered Cheetah is the New Black, and Sterling Style, so when I saw Alicia and Taylor, I knew I had to approach them and tell them how much I loved their blogs. They were so gracious and nice, and I was very glad to have met them. Although I had another engagement and had to cut the event short, I had a fabulous time meeting fellow bloggers and chatting fashion over cocktails. Outfit post to follow on Monday. I am off to Vegas to celebrate a dear friend's birthday, so have a lovely weekend everyone!

 I'll take a Shopaholic please!

Vogue

Cardigan + Romper: Target
Shoes: Nordstrom

It was a beautiful summery day and I decided to sport one of my many rompers. What I love about the place that I work at, is that it is so casual. You are free to dress as you please, and everything is pretty much game. I took these pictures on the stairs leading up to Coit Tower, and the first platform is as far as I got; being in high wedges can be a bit of a challenge, especially when ascending up steep steps. We took so many pictures, but there was only really one that I was satisfied with. The rest made me look too much of a diva. I even said "why am I getting a Victoria Beckham vibe from most of these? NEXT!" Below is the only picture that I find amusing. Strike a pose.

Details

After watching shows like Million Dollar Decorators and reading blogs such as Cupcakes and Cashmere and The Glamourai, I have come to realize that my room needed a makeover--badly. I went to my parents house over the weekend to help them with a garage sale, and I couldn't resist some of my mom's treasures. I picked up candles, lamps, and mirrors, and decided to rework my room. A trip to Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie over the weekend also gave me further inspiration on decorative ideas. For now, I am happy with the way it turned out; but knowing me, this look will probably change in a few months.

Poncho

I found this little poncho at Forever 21 (along with the camel blazer from the post below) and decided to wear it over the weekend. The color reminds me of everything Missoni and the fringe on the bottom is just so playful. It's not super functional as it doesn't keep me warm, but it's definitely comfortable and perfect for running errands. My weekend included rearranging my room, brunch in North Beach, and running in preparation for my first half marathon in less than 2 weeks. I'm now ready to tackle the work week ahead!

Chambray: 3 Ways

I love styling looks different ways. Subject: a basic chambray shirt. It's so versatile, classic, and clean. What more can you ask for? Enjoy these 3 looks, and have a fabulous weekend!

Camel

Tank: DVF
Blazer: Forever 21
Necklaces: J.Crew & Urban Outfitters
Jeans: Levi's
Bag: Louis Vuitton
Shoes: Stuart Weitzman

I was inspired by the Michael Kors Fall 2010 line (yes, I know we're traveling back a season), and have been craving camel colored clothing. I found this blazer at Forever 21 for only $27.80 (buy it here!). It's not super structured, but rather loose, and gives it an androgynous feel. It's probably my new favorite item of the moment and I take great pride in finding something that I love, yet is so affordable! I wore this outfit to a ShopTalk event, celebrating the remodel of the Ross store on Market in San Francisco with my friend, and fellow blogger, Anh from 9to5 Chic! I had a great time, and it was a pleasure meeting new bloggers. Happy Friday everyone!

Snakeskin

Lately, I've been obsessing over Bravo's show, "Million Dollar Decorators." The lush and luxurious furniture that they pick out for their clients is simply amazing. While engrossed in an episode, I spotted a vibrant red faux snakeskin coffee table and was instantly attracted to it. I found this great site, Graham & Green, where they have a collection of white snakeskin furniture. It's subtle, clean, simple, and looks plain fabulous. I forgot how much I have a love for snakeskin. Here are a few of my favorite things below:
